It was a hot one, but we had an awesome first day! The youth got most of the insulating done (I think they did it fast so they wouldn't have to wear long sleeves another day.) Sarah Hansen said "We did lots of insulating." She never wants to see insulation again. We began to sheetrock the two houses. The sheetrock was a slow start because ceilings are very difficult to do. A few ceilings have been done, so the kids will begin to knock out the walls tomorrow. They are using their energy for the positive and getting a lot done. Our roofing crew is doing awesome! Don't worry....they got down off the roof and drank lots of water. We had a special treat tonight and visited one of our favorite snowcone places. Sno Palace has stuffed sno cones (that is how they spell it in Kiln, Mississippi). Stuffed snocones are snocones filled with vanilla soft serve icecream. It is a touch of heaven!!!! Karen and Sean have done a great job leading us in worship! Everyone was pretty exhausted tonight, so I know as I am typing this they are sleeping like perfect angels. We are proud of our youth. Friendships are forming and they are definitely SHINING in Waveland!!
Oh yeah, Carley (Ms IT guru) forgot to turn on the microphone when she was interviewing the youth. She got some AWESOME footage and will re-interview. I laugh because I did the same thing on the Senior Interviews! Now she shall be known as Poser Techie.
Do tape measures cut skin deep????? For this answer, please ask Rev. Harold when he returns.

Christie, Christie, Christie, you and I both know that your "perfect angels" are definitely NOT sleeping. :) I wonder if you know how long it took Christie Z. and I to get them all to go to bed at night(including the senior high)?? However I don't know if it's as easy to get away with it when you're sleeping in cabins. You'll have to let me know? ;) What names did the kids come up with for their work teams this year? They probably came up with some crazy stuff, just because they're so rediculous, but I love them, and I miss everyone. Just in case you're wondering, YES, I probably WILL be writing back like every night just because I wish I was there so bad. I noticed the picture of the Smith boys doing some roofing work. I hope the kids live up to Kyle Neely's and my mastery of shingling. What can I say, we WERE on team BALLER after all..;)Keep up the good work! I'm praying for you all,
PEACE OUT,
~Mary Grace
